Kay White Drew, also known as Katherine C. White, M.D., is a retired neonatologist. She and her husband of four decades raised three wonderful daughters in Rockville, Maryland, where the couple still resides.

Kay is active in the D.C. area writing community. She is a member of the Maryland Writers Association and the Eastern Shore Writers Association as well as The Writer's Center in Bethesda, MD.

After graduating Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude from Wellesley College in 1973, Kay received her M.D. degree in 1977 from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed pediatric residency training at the University of Maryland Hospital in 1980 and finished her neonatology fellowship training at Georgetown University Hospital in 1982. Board-certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, she has worked at community hospitals affiliated with Georgetown University Medical School, Children’s Hospital National Medical Center, and Johns Hopkins Hospital.
